Roof repair
We find the source of the leak and repair shingle, metal, cedar and wood shake roofs before small problems spread.
Most roof leaks don't show up where the water gets in. A stain on the ceiling can start several feet uphill at a cracked pipe boot, a lifted shingle or a gap in the chimney flashing. Valleys and chimneys are the usual trouble spots here, especially after a winter of freeze and thaw. Our leak detection starts on the roof and in the attic, so we fix the actual cause instead of caulking over a symptom. We repair asphalt shingles, metal roofs, and cedar and wood shake. We also reflash chimneys and rebuild worn valleys. If your roof just needs looking after, our roof maintenance service covers loose fasteners, worn sealant and small damage before it turns into a leak. Estimates are free and same-day. We'll show you what we found and tell you honestly whether a repair will hold or the roof is close to replacement. For leaks after wind or hail, see storm damage repair.

Common questions
Can you repair a cedar or wood shake roof?
Yes. We repair cedar shake and wood shake roofs by replacing split, cupped or missing shakes and fixing the flashing around them. If a large part of the roof has worn out, we'll tell you that too.
Why does my chimney keep leaking?
Most chimney leaks come from failed flashing or sealant where the chimney meets the roof, not from the chimney itself. We repair or replace the chimney flashing so water is directed back onto the roof.
Is a repair worth it on an older roof?
Often it is, if the damage is isolated and the rest of the shingles are sound. If we see widespread wear, we'll show you and price both options so you can decide.
