# Roof replacement and installation

A roof usually shows it's worn out before it fails. Shingles curl or lose their granules, the gutters fill with grit, the deck feels soft underfoot, or the same spot keeps leaking after every repair. After enough Ohio winters and summer storms, patching stops making sense. We start with a roof inspection and a free, same-day estimate. If replacement is the right call, we do a full tear-off down to the deck and replace any rotted decking we find. Then we install new underlayment, flashing and your choice of asphalt shingles, metal or cedar shake. We also check roof ventilation, because an attic that can't breathe shortens the life of any roof. We can add or replace skylights while the roof is open. We're certified installers for CertainTeed, GAF, Owens Corning, IKO and Tamko. We back our work with 5-year and 10-year labor warranties. Many homes are finished in one or two days, and the crew cleans up the yard before they leave. If the replacement is part of an insurance claim, we help with that too.

## Common questions

Do I need a full replacement or just a repair?

Not always a replacement. If the damage is limited to one area and the rest of the roof has life left, a [repair](/services/roof-repair/) is usually the better spend. We'll inspect it and tell you plainly which way we'd go.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Many homes are done in one or two days. It depends on the size of the roof, how many layers come off and the weather. We'll give you a realistic schedule with your estimate.

What warranty comes with a new roof?

We offer 5-year and 10-year labor warranties on our work. Manufacturer coverage on the shingles or panels depends on the product you choose, and we'll walk you through it before you decide.
